Hurry up, summer!

coral sundress

I got this adorable sundress from Old Navy tonight. I can’t wait for it to warm up so I can start wearing it! I was so excited to find a dress that fit. Often dresses aren’t big enough on top and waaaay too revealing for my shape. This one was perfect, though! The ruffled sleeves cover my shoulders and (because I’m short) it falls to my knees. <3 Of course, I have to wear a tank under it so I don’t have mega cleavage but it still looks super cute! I am excited to wear it! Also, I LOVE wearing coral colors in the summer. Hurry up, summer, I want to wear my new dress!

Note to Self:

If you have to take a test the next day, don’t take a really long nap in the middle of the day, then stay up all night and drink two cups of coffee and a soda to stay awake before your test. It will just make you fuzzy-headed and distracted when you’re trying to review. Also, it will be hard to write your essays, because your hands will be shaking.

In other news, It’s a good thing I put on lots of face lotion and chapstick today, because the wind is brutal…especially when you have to park a million miles away from the building. Sheesh. I think it took me longer to find a parking spot than it did to take my test! But at least I didn’t get wind burn.

Whoa!

It is crazy windy here today! I was looking at the weather and saw this:

10/26/2008 0351 PM

Champaign, Champaign County.

Non-thunderstorm wind gust m48.00 mph, reported by ASOS.

48mph?! Holy cow!

I’m excited that it’s getting cold, though. I’m ready for colder fall weather! The low tomorrow is 25°F. Bring it on! Also, apparently there is a 10% chance of snow showers tonight. That’s pretty slim and with this wind, it’s not like we’d notice, but I’m excited all the same!

New Blog

Uncategorized 11 October 2008 | 1 Comment

I got tired of how tedious iWeb is for blogging and thought that I might update more often if it were easier. So here I am! The title is a bit misleading, since I don’t exactly have many adventures.

The closest thing to an adventure I’ve had lately is the incident of the bridge jump at the Godsearch Unplugged retreat! Basically, Adam & Tom decided that it would be a GREAT idea to jump off the 21ft. high bridge into murky water of uncertain depth. Kirsten videoed it, but wasn’t recording when she thought she was, so she missed all of us pleading with them not to do it, and only got the jump itself. The rest of the retreat was less exciting, but still fun. We were at Camp Tecumseh, in Indiana, which is some YMCA camp. It was gorgeous, though, all lovely and wooded. The weather was wonderful and put me in the mood for fall. Unfortunately, the weather is teasing me today, because it’s up over 80 again. I refuse to turn the a/c back on, so it’s sweltering in the office, even with a fan in the window. Luckily the sun will be behind the neighbor’s house soon, instead of shining right into the office.

Mark has been begging me to update my blog for something like two or three weeks. So I’m updating. I told him two weeks ago that I would update when I was done catching up on Supernatural, so I could blog about it. I don’t really have much to say though, because the whole show (all 3 seasons +) is really just too amazing for words. If you can possibly stand the “scary” stuff, you should probably watch it. It is my new favorite show of all-time, so don’t try to tell me it’s lame…unless you want to start a rumble.

In rabbit news, I might start trying to find someone to take one of the rabbits, probably Helah. They just don’t want to be friends, so I have to let them out separately. I feel bad, because they would get more free time if I could let them out at the same time. Also, Helah has taken to peeing next to Abby’s litterbox when she’s out. I guess it’s some sort of territorial thing, but it’s really a pain in the butt to clean up.

I suppose that’s all for now. I’m going to try to copy over all the posts from my old blog, so I don’t lose them. We’ll see how that goes…
