Don’t go there…
TV Tropes! Every time I follow a link there, I waste at least an hour!
For starters, I’ll link you to high octane nightmare fuel, a phrase I used in my last entry.
See you later!

ANOTHER new Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince trailer was released! Eeee! It’s a bit crazy, since the movie doesn’t come out for another…(checks out countdown)…246 days! Are they going to keep releasing trailers? We’ll have seen half the movie by next summer! :)
I wasn’t expecting this at all! Sweet! (Available for download here, also)
Too bad the movie doesn’t come out until next year, instead of in a month…grumble grumble…
First, a link to a hilarious comic about Mary-Sue characters in Harry Potter fanfiction.
Next, a hilarious video of a Twihard watching the new Twilight trailer for the first time. If you watch the whole thing, it’s hilarious, but I can understand if you can’t stand 9 minutes of squee-ing.
And for more Twilight fun a hilarious recap/commentary on Breaking Dawn. If you’ve read the book and have a sense of humor, you’ll love it. If you haven’t read the book, but are bored, it’s probably worth your time. I promise. A short preview: (This should be obvious, but serious spoilers ahead, yo!)
Okay, so. Previously on As the Vampire Sparkles, emoteen Bella Swan moves to a tiny little depressing rainy town and won’t shut up about it. There she meets a mysterious boy who turns out to be a 100+ year-old vampire who literally sparkles “like diamonds” in direct sunlight and reads minds (but not hers), and after three hundred pages of Bella wondering why he’s so mean to her and why he’s so weird and why he’s not being mean to her anymore and what his deal is and if he likes her and if he actually loves her and how much he loves her and how he could possibly love as someone asMary Sueplain and boring and clumsy as she is and if his vampire family will like her, a plot finally shows up, but it doesn’t last very long. And then they go to prom. In the second book, Edward the sparkling vampire leaves Bella for her own good, and she spends most of the book trying to kill herself with motorcycles and cliff-diving. Sort of. And then her best friend falls in love with her and turns out to be a werewolf, but Bella runs away to save Edward from committing suicide by public sparkling in Italy. In the third book, Jacob the best friend/boyfriend wannabe/werewolf turns into a total asshole trying to force himself on Bella, and a vampire with a grudge from the first book is trying to kill her, but more importantly, Bella and Edward argue about whether they should have sex, get married, and/or vampirize Bella, and in what order.
Hand to God, I did not make one word of that up. Twilight means never having to say you’re kidding.
Go read the whole thing when you have time. I promise that it won’t let you down. (Well…unless you are a huge Twilight fan who takes the books seriously. If that’s the case, I don’t think I want to know you…just kidding!) Then go read the ones for the first three books! Seriously.
I just recently found out that the first twelve chapters of the next Twilight series book, Midnight Sun, were leaked onto the internet. Yeah, I’m behind the times, I don’t keep up with Twilight stuff, really. Anyway, Midnight Sun is Twilight from Edward’s (the main vampire) perspective. I’m going to go read it soon. I’ll definitely be posting my reaction here. I expect it to be…amusing.
Edit: You can find the leaked chapters of Midnight Sun on Stephenie Meyer’s website (along with her commentary about the situation). She decided to post it so that fans wouldn’t have to illegally read it. She also threw a big fit and decided to put the book on hold, which I forgot to mention earlier. Yeah, it totally sucks that someone you trusted leaked your book, but seriously, it’s not like there’s anything you can do about it now. Just finish the darn book and publish it. There are plenty of fans everywhere who will buy it. Heck, I’d even buy it. I bought the rest of the series and I’m not even a big fan!
Whoops. I missed the first few minutes of Gossip Girl. I hope I didn’t miss anything amazing. I’m so excited about this episode!
OMG, I think I love Blair vs. Serena way better than when they’re friends.
Edit:
Wow, okay, that episode was AWESOME. I was kinda sad that Blair & Serena made up, but it was sweet and they make a great team. I love that things are finally going well for Jenny. Next week’s episode looks crazy! I can’t wait!
I got tired of how tedious iWeb is for blogging and thought that I might update more often if it were easier. So here I am! The title is a bit misleading, since I don’t exactly have many adventures.
The closest thing to an adventure I’ve had lately is the incident of the bridge jump at the Godsearch Unplugged retreat! Basically, Adam & Tom decided that it would be a GREAT idea to jump off the 21ft. high bridge into murky water of uncertain depth. Kirsten videoed it, but wasn’t recording when she thought she was, so she missed all of us pleading with them not to do it, and only got the jump itself. The rest of the retreat was less exciting, but still fun. We were at Camp Tecumseh, in Indiana, which is some YMCA camp. It was gorgeous, though, all lovely and wooded. The weather was wonderful and put me in the mood for fall. Unfortunately, the weather is teasing me today, because it’s up over 80 again. I refuse to turn the a/c back on, so it’s sweltering in the office, even with a fan in the window. Luckily the sun will be behind the neighbor’s house soon, instead of shining right into the office.
Mark has been begging me to update my blog for something like two or three weeks. So I’m updating. I told him two weeks ago that I would update when I was done catching up on Supernatural, so I could blog about it. I don’t really have much to say though, because the whole show (all 3 seasons +) is really just too amazing for words. If you can possibly stand the “scary” stuff, you should probably watch it. It is my new favorite show of all-time, so don’t try to tell me it’s lame…unless you want to start a rumble.
In rabbit news, I might start trying to find someone to take one of the rabbits, probably Helah. They just don’t want to be friends, so I have to let them out separately. I feel bad, because they would get more free time if I could let them out at the same time. Also, Helah has taken to peeing next to Abby’s litterbox when she’s out. I guess it’s some sort of territorial thing, but it’s really a pain in the butt to clean up.
I suppose that’s all for now. I’m going to try to copy over all the posts from my old blog, so I don’t lose them. We’ll see how that goes…
Bunny pictures soon. I’ve got some taken, I just need to get them off my camera and upload them.
New stills from the Half-Blood Prince Trailer are here! The first (above) shows a young Tom Riddle, played by Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, son of Ralph Fiennes, who plays Voldemort. The other picture shows Dumbledore in some sort of magical firestorm or something, presumably in the cave scene. The teaser trailer satellite debut is set for tomorrow evening and will be available online exclusively from AOL sometime tomorrow. Woot! I think I also read somewhere that the full trailer is rumored to be debuting before the Clone Wars movie on August 15th, but that seems a bit soon to me. We’ll see.
Bunny pictures tomorrow! We got the cages moved up to the office and let them explore their new territory today. We tried letting Abby & Helah out at the same time, but Abby chased Helah back into her cage. :(
They seemed to really enjoy their new room, though. Hurray!
In other slightly less exciting news this week: The fourth Twilight Series book, Breaking Dawn, comes out Saturday. I’ll probably go buy it. Not at midnight, though. I want to know how she finally finishes this series, but not badly enough to stand in line with a bunch of squee-ing tween girls. No thank you.
First, giant spiders are taking over my apartment. It’s creepy and gross. I do not approve!
And now, a list of “pets” that I would like to have, as compiled by Kirsten and I at lunch yesterday:
2. A Companion
3. A little owl that will carry my mail and also communicate telepathically with me.
