Day 30: A picture of yourself this day and 5 good things that happened since you started the challenge
Day 30!! I made it! I got behind a few times, but I am finishing on time. I was going to put “DAY 30!!!!” as the title of this post, but I couldn’t bring myself to mess up the pattern of my titles for the challenge. Before I start, some business. Very soon, perhaps tonight, my blog will be moving to http://www.carriekate.com! Mark got me all set up for my own site. Yay! So without further ado…

Five good things:
- I haven’t died doing the Daniel Fast yet.
- Lots of other people are doing the challenge, too.
- Aimee came to visit me.
- Adam got a job.
- Jill got a puppy.
Hey, it says nothing about the good things being about you!
I look forward to many more days of blogging, except I’ll have to come up with my own topics now!

Day 29: 3 Wishes
I’m now caught up on the blog challenge, and I’ll be finishing on time tomorrow! Now I’ll have to come up with blog topics on my own. Anyway…
Three Wishes:
- Everyone in our church plant gets moved over here soon (with houses sold!), and we find an awesome building!
- baby
- money (& a sweet house to buy with it!)

Day 28: Something that stresses you out
I hate performing. I had major stage fright even for plays where I had a really small part. The only time it doesn’t bother me is when I’m singing in a choir. Grace made me audition for a solo in choir last spring and unfortunately I got it. I was so nervous that my knees were shaking the whole time I was singing.
In fact, I really just hate being in front of lots of people. I was nervous about being on stage with the preschoolers for the Christmas program at church. I didn’t even have to do anything except keep them from running around!

Day 26: Your Dream Wedding
In case you didn’t know, I’m already married. I don’t spend very much time thinking about weddings. So instead, here’s some pictures from MY wedding, mostly culled from Amy’s facebook photos, because I don’t want to deal with my scanner! We’re gonna try this slideshow business this time.

Day 25: Put your iPod on shuffle, first 10 songs
I don’t have a real iPod dedicated to music anymore. I have an iPhone, but I only keep a little bit of music on there. I’ll go ahead and use that, but it won’t be nearly as embarrassing as selections from my entire music library would be. I’ll save that for another time!
- “I Can Be Your Friend” cover by the O.C. Supertones, from Veggie Rocks! (an album of covers of VeggieTales songs) What a great way to start off this list, eh?
- “Nessun dorma” (from the opera Turandot) sung by José Carreras – One of my favorite songs!
- “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” – From Will the Circle Be Unbroken by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, with a host of guest artists. I love blue grass!
- “The Deal” from Miss Saigon (Original London Cast), where Chris is trying to get Kim to take her away.
- “Je Suis Encor Tout Étourdie” from Manon, sung by Renée Fleming. I have no idea what this is, off the top of my head.
- “Tune Up #1″ from Rent (Original Broadway Cast), the very beginning of the show
- “Sanctus” from The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace, by Karl Jenkins. This from a really cool choral/orchestral piece we did in choir at Parkland a few years ago. Here’s a link to a video of this movement on youtube. I recommend the Kyrie and the Benedictus, too.
- “Angel Tidings” from Rutter: Carols from Clare, with the Cambridge Clare College Singers and Orchestra. Christmas song!
- “All Day” from The I Heart Revolution album by Hillsong United. I don’t recall this song off the top of my head! Ha.
- “Beautiful” sung by Melissa How from the Jesus Culture album Your Love Never Fails. Loooove this song! Good album all around, actually, if you like Jesus Culture.
That is surprisingly a pretty good selection of what my ipod has to offer! The only thing not represented on that list is more normal sorts of music like Lady Gaga, but it’s far outnumbered by the other genres, so that’s understandable.

Day 24: Something you’ve learned
It took me about 20 years to learn (realize?) that God loves me, and we’re still working on that, even! That’s something I wish everyone would learn. Remember the bible verses from Day 15? There’s some love stuff in there. Go read them again. :)

Day 23: Favorite Movie Book
I really don’t read ahead, or I would have noticed that favorite movie comes up twice. So I’m changing it!
Well, I have a whole page of books I like here. My favorite book as a kid/tween was Martin the Warrior, by Brian Jacques. It has five stars on Amazon, you should probably read it. It’s about a talking mouse with a sword.

Day 22: What’s in your purse?
Clearly I don’t read ahead in the challenge, because I’ve already covered this.

Day 21: Favorite Picture of yourself ALL TIME Why?

I don’t think this needs any explanation as to why it’s awesome. I will let you know that this was in 1994, though.
